Apple Wallet & Google Wallet for Klaviyo: Turning Email Flows into Loyalty Customers Actually Open

Klaviyo is built to get the right message to the right customer at the right time but every message still has to fight for space in an inbox. The average email open rate sits around 20%, which means four out of five loyalty updates, points reminders, and win-back offers you send through Klaviyo are never even seen.

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes solve a different part of the problem: once a pass is added, it lives on the customer’s lock screen, not in a folder they’ll “get to later.” Litecard connects directly into Klaviyo so that wallet passes become another channel inside the flows you’ve already built – not a separate system to manage.

How the Klaviyo integration works

Litecard integrates with Klaviyo (alongside Salesforce, Dotdigital, Yotpo, and others) at the flow and email-template level, so it slots into an existing Klaviyo setup rather than replacing it.

  1. A pass is generated per customer. Through Litecard’s dashboard, API, or CSV batch tools, each customer gets a unique wallet pass containing a download URL, a QR code, and metadata – email, customer ID, loyalty tier, points balance, and anything else you want to carry across. You can insert a webhook node into your Klaviyo flows that create a mobile wallet pass for unique customers based on branded user journeys created inside Litecard’s dashboard.
Once the webhook is fired off, custom properties are written against each customer and can be clicked through inside the welcome email.

  1. “Add to Wallet” buttons and a QR code go straight into your Klaviyo templates. Device-specific buttons (Apple or Google) sit in the email or SMS, with a QR code fallback for anyone reading on desktop. No separate landing page or app required.

  1. Klaviyo flows drive adoption and re-engagement. Because pass status is tracked and pushed back into Klaviyo as a customer property, you can build logic around it the same way you would around any other event: trigger a flag when a pass is downloaded, send a reminder three days later if it isn’t, or segment by loyalty tier and location for more personalised follow-up sends.
  1. Wallet activity feeds back into Klaviyo. Downloads, notification engagement, redemptions, and geo-triggered activity all sync back, so you can compare wallet-driven engagement against your other Klaviyo campaigns in the same reporting view.

Why this matters more than another email

Wallet passes update themselves. A points balance, a tier upgrade, or a new offer can push directly to the customer’s lock screen as a notification no re-send, no new email needed, no risk of landing in promotions or spam. Litecard’s data shows wallet users open passes more often than they open email, convert faster than app-based loyalty journeys, and stay engaged longer simply because the pass has a persistent presence on the device.

For a Klaviyo user, that means the loyalty program lives one tap away from the home screen, while every interaction still runs through the flows, segments, and reporting you already use day to day.

It’s already working for brands running Klaviyo:

“Litecard’s platform was super easy to use and intuitive to create wallet use journeys and plug them into our Shopify and Klaviyo flows.” – Heather Earl, Head of eCommerce, Nutrition Warehouse

Litecard sits inside those Klaviyo flows so loyalty and offer updates show up in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet instead of getting buried in an inbox.
