The short answer

What is a digital train and bus pass?

A digital train or bus pass is a ticket, periodical pass or concession card saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet instead of a paper ticket or a separate app. It carries a barcode that scans at gates and on board without a signal, shows on the lock screen before travel, and updates itself when services change. Litecard lets Australian rail, tram, bus and coach operators issue and update these passes from their existing ticketing systems.
